Portraits With My Daughter
As a natural light family and motherhood photographer in Tucson I get to create photographs for many lucky parents. Sometimes I am so devoted and busy serving my clients that my own photographs with my amazing daughter and husband get put on hold. It had been almost two years since our last mommy and me portraits together. Something I swore I’d never let happen especially since we have access to our dream studio all the time. Yet here we are, life takes over. With the recent changes in society and quarantine lifestyle, I have realized even more the only things that truly matter and bring me pure happiness and joy are (1) spending quality time with my adorable family (2) the photographs we have displayed over the years in our home! Covid has put things into perspective, x100.
So on this Mother’s Day I only wanted portraits with Nova! That’s it!
You see … motherhood has changed me in so many ways. My values and priorities have shifted drastically over the last six years. I used to overextend myself and say YES to everything and everyone. Once I became a mom that stopped. And partly because I didn’t have the energy nor did I want to surround her in unnecessary activities. Nothing else mattered to me. All I wanted was to raise a healthy, kind and genuine human. I put Nova first for those many milestones. Which I have zero regrets. The memories and moments we have shared are priceless and irreplaceable. She’s my little love and shadow. So you see why portraits with my daughter are everything to me. It’s a moment in time (as cheesy as it sounds) to document our bond, our silliness and our mother/daughter love. As you scroll through these images, I hope you get to experience our undeniable connection and truthfully our obsession with each other. She is my best friend and who wouldn’t want photos with their BFF?! I’ve already sent off a few favorites to be printed by our local photo lab and can’t wait to enjoy these daily.
This is by far my absolute favorite Mother’s Day gift.
