National Breastfeeding Month
Today I wanted to feature a very special session that encompasses a few facets of motherhood … breastfeeding and baby wearing! This mama drove down from Phoenix to see me and has treasured every single moment on her journey with her beautiful rainbow baby. She took a year of healing and for herself before they tried again and got little C. Their bond created at 4am while she nurses her little girl, staring into her eyes, kissing her tiny fingers and the persistence of not giving up. The tears through the pain, anxiety, frustration and the complete joy of that wonderful latch. The wrapping and wearing that turned a fussy over-tired baby into a snoozing beauty. All of this creates something breathtaking and magical. I am honored to have photographed a glimpse into her motherhood journey and the moments that are so very personal.
Did you know August is National Breastfeeding Month and we are celebrating … to all the mamas who have, are, will and even those who tried and couldn’t … each and everyone of you are amazing!!! You got this mamas!
